Our Journey
The Tikkun Olam Urology Society began as a visionary initiative under the auspices of the Friends of Israel Urology Symposium. The goal of the FOIUS was to bridge the gap between urologists in Israel and the global urological community, fostering high-level scientific exchange and professional solidarity. Over the decades, the symposium group evolved into a global network.
Our goal is to continue the FOIUS tradition with symposia held in the diaspora. These will highlight groundbreaking research, and serve as a vital support system and connection for clinicians navigating the complexities of modern healthcare and international relations.
We aspire to bring timeless universal Jewish values: compassion, sanctity of life and 'Tikkun Olam' (Repairing the World). We will demonstrate the importance and enduring contribution of Judaism and Israel to urological care and innovation. We are committed to deep academic learning and knowledge sharing, fearless innovation and open scientific debate in the pursuit of truth and healing. Today, our history is defined by the countless lives touched through medical excellence and the enduring bonds formed within our professional family. of academic rigor and global unity. Our Tikkun Olam These Urology symposia will, we believe, be more than another medical conference; rather, they will evolve into a community and family supporting one another in an increasingly complex medical and geopolitical environment.
