President, Tikun Olam Urology Society
As the president of the Tikun Olam Urology Society (TOUS) and on behalf of the TOUS steering committee, it is my great honor to invite you to join us as a member and participate in our upcoming scientific congress. Tikun Olam Urology Society has been established to unite Jewish and pro-Israel urologists from diverse backgrounds worldwide to share values of clinical excellence, deep and critical learning, innovation in urological care, viewpoint diversity (professional controversies) and a commitment to ‘repairing the world’ (Tikkun Olam). It is a continuation of the successful ‘Friends of Israel Urology Symposium’ which brought together like minded individuals for Urology symposiums in Israel. In contrast, the vision of the TOUS is to hold our symposia in international sites where Jewish culture once thrived as centers of learning, or is thriving currently to contextualize and symbolize the spirit of the meeting.
The scientific format of the meeting is focused on addressing controversial Urology topics with debates and panels. These would include unique court like debate sessions on the most controversial topics in Urology. A TOUS Uro-Business Forum session is planned to discuss the challenges and strategic goals of developing and commercializing urologic inventions and technologies. Special emphasis will be placed to actively connect the next generation (residents and fellows) directly with global leaders in Urology to foster networking and mentorship.
The social program would include out of scope lectures from leading non-urological lecturers (similar to FOIUS), traditional Kabalat Shabbat dinner and a special focus and forum (different for each meeting) on the theme of Tikun Olam. We warmly invite you to bring your spouse/partner and family to the meeting. Together we will build a professional family (Mishpucha).
Come and join us! Be part of the conversation.
